Joint Coordinating OrganizationHere's the DoD ATS Organization
This chart shows the relationships among the Office of the Secretary of Defense (Acquisition, Technology and Logistics), the Senior Acquisition Executives in each Service, and the ATS Management Board representatives from each service. PMA-260 at the Naval Air Systems Command serves as the ATS Executive Directorate and coordinates all ATS matters throughout the DoD. The ATS Executive Directorate has established several technical Integrated Process Teams. By way of example, one of of the IPTs is the Test Program Set Standardization (TPSS) IPT. The TPSS IPT has members from the Air Force, Army, Marine Corps and Navy. Its mission is to identify aspects of the TPS procurement process that can be standardized in the acquisition process and in the technical requirements of the TPS themselves, propose appropriate standardization measures that comply with acquisition reform to realize these opportunities across DoD, dentify and analyze existing methods and processes which offer opportunities and identify obstacles to implementing TPS technical and acquisition process standardization, and report to the AMB on providing alternatives to obstacles, and provide recommendations for standardization of technical requirements and acquisition process. The TPSS IPT completed a major project with the Publication on 30 January 2002 of MIL-PRF-32070, Performance Specification, Test Program Sets. The specification supersedes MIL-STD-2077 (NAVY) and should be used in the acquisition of new Test Program Sets. Click here to download this 3.4 Meg PDF file.
