Regina M. Bova

Director, Operations / Chief of Staff


Ms. Bova serves as the Director for Operations / Chief of Staff in the office of the Principal Director, Defense Pricing and Contracting (DPC), within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment. In this capacity, she advises the Principal Director, enables the success of DoD contracting senior leadership and cross-cutting initiatives, oversees DPC’s strategic plans, designs enterprise-wide communications, and directs all administrative, financial, and operational activities. Her prior assignments within DPC entailed working directly for each of the DPC directorates.

During her 30-plus years in the federal acquisition and contracting field, Ms. Bova has focused on acquisition law, procurement policy, contracting operations, and functional training to help develop and implement strategic improvement programs, build and refine functional organizations, interpret Congressional and legislative mandates, improve spending accountability and transparency, and empower the workforce through training and tools. Before becoming a federal civil servant, Ms. Bova was in private industry, where she served in multiple capacities, all in support of federal acquisition. As a program director at a professional consulting firm advising federal agencies, she oversaw a wide range of consulting teams who supported key pricing and contracting initiatives and advised cabinet-level senior executives. Prior to her tenure as a consultant, Ms. Bova was a program manager and a contract administrator.

Ms. Bova holds a Juris Doctor degree from George Mason University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia. She is a member of the Virginia Bar; and she also is a member of the Defense Acquisition Corps, certified at Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III in the contracting career field.
