Acting Director, Strategic Deterrence and Capabilities
Ms. Rebecca Hodge assumed the duties of the Acting Director of Strategic Deterrence and Capabilities in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (A&S). In this position, she is responsible for integration and oversight of the nuclear modernization portfolio as well as strategic treaty implementation and compliance. Her office serves as focal point for nuclear modernization acquisition programs and portfolio assessments. This portfolio includes the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD), Long-Range Stand Off Weapon (LRSO) and the B61-12 Tailkit Assembly programs; portfolio assessments, including the COLUMBIA, B-21, and F-35 DCA programs; and sustainment of legacy nuclear TRIAD systems, such as the Minuteman III.
Ms. Hodge has supported the Department of Defense for more than 16 years supporting and leading multiple requirements programs and nuclear modernization programs. Before becoming a Department of Defense Civilian, she was a Department of Defense contractor supporting OSD, Air Force, and Navy.
Ms. Hodge holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St Louis, a Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering with a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from University of Maryland, College Park, and a Graduate Certificate in Women in Leadership from Cornell University.
