Defense Pricing and Contracting brings you the

2020 DoD Contracting Conference

Coronavirus Update: March 16, 2020

We appreciate your continued patience in the coordination of the 2020 DoD Contracting Conference. At this time, we are proceeding with holding the Conference in June as scheduled, however we will send a status update to all attendees no later than May 13, 2020.

This decision is based on the recent guidance from the Secretary of Defense related to travel in response to Coronavirus 2019 that states all forms of movement will cease for 60 days. Our conference dates, June 9-11, 2020, are beyond the period of prohibited travel.

Again, we will update this message and keep participants informed as necessary to ensure notification occurs well in advance of incurring any reservation penalties.

The 2020 DoD Contracting Conference, hosted by the Defense Pricing and Contracting (DPC) office, will be held in Orlando, Florida at the Hilton Orlando. This conference will bring together the procurement and acquisition communities for training on DoD and federal enterprise-wide procurement as well as updates on procurement and policy initiatives from DoD and Federal senior leaders.

The annual DoD Contracting Conference will provide an effective and efficient means to engage a broad spectrum of stakeholders from the contracting community including military personnel and government civilians to discuss timely topics of interest to the DoD contracting community. Defense Pricing and Contracting (DPC) will provide a forum to discuss topics of interest to the DoD contracting community and ways to achieve greater efficiencies in Government contract management through Acquisition Innovation. Key categories to be addressed will include contracting at the speed of relevance, effective training of the acquisition workforce, cyber security, regulatory and legislative updates, other transactions authority, and other innovations in contracting.

The target audience is mid-level and senior government personnel in the DoD procurement community. DPC will be working with Component representatives to identify participants.

Senior Procurement Executives (SPE) POCs will notify personnel approved to attend the conference and DPC will contact attendees with information regarding the registration process. If you have questions regarding whether you are an approved attendee please contact your SPE office for more information.
