The Hawaii Coordination Cell serves as the Department of War’s dedicated office in Hawaii to align land use, energy, installations, and environmental planning with the needs of national security and local communities. Guided by respect for Hawaii’s lands, culture, and people, the HCC coordinates transparent communication and engagement to foster trust, protect natural and cultural resources, and strengthen partnerships so Hawaii’s unique heritage and the nation’s defense mission can advance together.
Vision
The Hawaii Coordination Cell envisions a future where the Department of War and the people of Hawaii work in true partnership to align national security, community priorities, cultural values, and the care of Hawaii’s lands. Through collaboration and shared responsibility, the HCC seeks to build lasting relationships that honor Hawaii’s communities while ensuring the resilience and readiness of the nation’s defense in the Pacific.
