What We Do

  • Housing Program Management: Establish policies, guidance, and standardized processes for DoW Housing (privatized housing, unaccompanied housing, government owned and controlled housing) to ensure that eligible personnel and their families have access to affordable, quality housing facilities and services consistent with grade and dependent status and generally reflecting contemporary community living standards.
  • Homeowners Assistance Program (HAP): Develop HAP policies and guidance, monitors the administration of the HAP, and provides final adjudication to HAP appeals.
  • Military Housing Privatization Initiative (MHPI): Serve as the primary interface with the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to ensure compliance with fiscal regulations prior to execution of any loan or debt related obligations to the government on any Military Departments MHPI project. Reviews and submits comprehensive annual MHPI financial and performance metric reports to Congressional Oversight Committees in coordination with the Military Departments.
  • Program Objective Memorandum (POM): Direct future Military Departments fiscal requirements to align with mission requirements in addition to complying with the National Defense Strategy and the Secretary of War priorities.
