Focus Areas
Real Property Accountability – DoD’s real estate portfolio is the largest in the federal government – more than 710,000 assets (buildings, structures, and linear structures) located on over 4,800 sites worldwide on over 26 million acres of land. DASD RP focuses on enterprise-level collection of data from each MilDep and WHS to ensure data quality and standardization of inventory data across DoD for the full asset lifecycle. Data is made readily available for a myriad of annual reports, answering data inquiries, developing tools to analyze sustainment costs for budgetary planning and other analytical products used for senior level management decisions.
DISDI - The Defense Installations Spatial Data Infrastructure (DISDI) Program administers the standardization and interoperability of DoD’s installation geospatial information and services, to include leading the development and implementation of the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE), which is the single most comprehensive data standard in use across all EI&E mission areas, as well as the test and training range mission area and the civil works mission of the US Army Corps of Engineers. DISDI also provides enterprise level geospatial data, mapping, and analytics to all EI&E offices and a wide range of offices in the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
