Mission Statement

The DASD(PS) is responsible to the Assistant Secretary of Defense(Sustainment) for all product support policy matters.

- Provides oversight of program sustainment, affordability, and life cycle logistics for major weapon systems acquisition in order to ensure sustainability and supportability integration early in the acquisition process.

- Oversees the Product Support Managers and Performance Base Logistics programs.

- Coordinates and synchronizes international and partner engagement for the ASD(S).

- Provides functional management of acquisition and logistics career fields.

Provide the DoD policy, processes, and guidance to ensure effective and affordable life cycle product support solutions for our weapons systems, subsystems and components.
