Foundations of Government Property (CLM039) Course

An updated Foundations of Government Property course—Continuous Learning Module, CLM039—is now available through the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Continuous Learning Center for all Department of Defense (DoD) personnel who play a crucial role in accounting for, managing, and controlling government personal property—both for the warfighter and for the American taxpayer.

The course presents the DoD “accounting” and “accountability” approach to the property management life cycle and introduces essential tools available to assist you in the management of government personal property in DoD. We encourage Accountable Property Officers, property custodians, accounting and financial managers and all others whose job includes fiscal and/or physical accountability of DoD property to take the Foundations of Government Property course.

Browse or register for the course at the DAU Continuous Learning Center. Registration is required to take the course for credit, but is not needed to browse the course. (Hint: Follow instructions at the top of the browser to register.) This self-paced course takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete and is recommended for 1.5 continuous learning points (CLP).

Prerequisite: None.
